2026 CAMPAIGN INFORMATION:

This year, the Big “I" of SC is thrilled to celebrate its SEVENTH year of the GIVE MOVEMENT campaign, June 1-10, 2026. This campaign is led by the SC Young Agents and was first launched in 2020 to encourage Independent agencies, companies, partners and industry friends across the state to join together and GIVE back to our Trusted Choice Community Partner, Make-A-Wish South Carolina. Over the last six years, Give Movement supporters helped grant over 10 life-changing wishes for South Carolina Wish Children battling critical and life-threatening illnesses. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support of this very worthy cause and we hope you will help us make the biggest impact yet in our seventh year.

WHAT IS THE GIVE MOVEMENT?

The GIVE MOVEMENT is a Big I of SC statewide initiative inspired & led by our very own SC Young Agents and encourages all SC Independent agents, affiliates, and partners (customers, neighbors, and friends!) across the state to come together for one week (June 1-10, 2026) for something much bigger than a business: to give back to an incredibly inspirational and worthy cause. 

DID YOU KNOW? The Give Movement is a National  Big "I" Initiative.  

Each participating states achievements will be tracked by the Big "I" YA on a National level and we look forward to sharing how our agents & brokers, once again, come together to make things happen!  

OUR GOAL:
Our 2026 GOAL is to raise $30,000– enough to grant the wishes of FOUR SC Make-A-Wish Children with critical illnesses that are waiting for wishes.

BECOME A 2026 TOP GIVER:

If your agency or company wishes to participate in this campaign at a higher level, consider becoming one of our TOP GIVERS.  Agencies or Companies that donate a minimum of $1,000 (in advance) to the campaign will earn your agency recognition as a top giving organization for this campaign. 

BENEFITS OF BEING A TOP GIVER:

• You will gain a complimentary attendee for an IIABSC event of your choice
• Your organization will receive recognition on the IIABSC website and across social media campaigns leading up to, during and after the campaign
• Your agency or company (for those that opt in for this benefit) will be shared on social media by MAW of SC

Top Givers have the option to either pay the full amount directly or partner with another agency and split their donation commitment (for Partnering Top agencies, a minimum of $3,000 is requested- $1,500 per agency).

• Commitment form & Contribution paid in full is due no later than  May 15

· Agencies can write a check to Make-A-Wish SC in full or choose to raise funds by including agency staff, customers or carriers. For those raising funds, MAW has a variety of tools and ideas to help, including setting up your own landing page online to funnel your contributions.

SOCIAL MEDIA KIT:

AFTER you submit your donation, you will receive a social media kit where you can download a "TOGETHER WE GIVE" image. We encourage all donors to post the image online or change your profile photo on your social media platforms in order to connect everyone who has joined our movement. Let's see how many profile pictures we can change during our week of giving!

IMPACT 

Now, more than ever, as we navigate this uncertain time, your donation will have an incredible impact for local "Wish Kids" and their families. Each donation makes a difference, no matter how large or small and each goes directly to Make-A-Wish® of SC to help fulfill the wishes of the 320+ SC children waiting currently for their wishes to be granted. The average cost of a single wish is $7,500 and our goal is to grant as many wishes as possible.  

GIVE MOVEMENT CHECK PRESENTATIONS:

Each year at the YA Conference Top Givers are recognized on stage for their high level of support. Make-A-Wish SC President & CEO, Misty Farmer is present to speak on the impact of our fundraising and we invite all of our Top Givers and Committee leaders to participate in presenting a large check to Misty in acknowledgement of all of the generous donors who have contributed and helped us grant wishes for wish children!

DID YOU KNOW:

IIABSC Young Agents have been awarded nationally for their leadership in raising awareness and funds for our community partner MAW of SC. This national recognition is due to YOUR support and the difference we are making as an industry for MAW Children in every area of our state. 

ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH SOUTH CAROLINA

The mission of Make-A-Wish South Carolina is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. All donations stay local within our state.

PARTNERSHIP WITH TRUSTED CHOICE AGENTS

South Carolina Trusted Choice started their partnership with Make-A-Wish South Carolina in 2012 and has donated nearly $150,000 in that time. The IIABSC Young Agents have raised nearly $90,000 for Make-A-Wish in the past four years.

MAW of SC NEEDS

The total number of children in South Carolina waiting for their wishes to be granted is right at 320. Each wish costs around $7,500 on average to grant. MAW of SC is on track to grant over 230 wishes in 2026 and hope to have the funding from efforts like the Give Movement to grant more.
