Can you name all the insurance rules changes made since 2012?

IIABSC is touring the state this summer to ensure members understand them all

In just the past two years, there have been over a dozen changes to the insurance laws in SC. Do you know what they are? Is everyone in the agency adhering to them all?

IIABSC has developed a new four-hour seminar to help agents understand some of these complicated laws and regulations and avoid the fines and penalties of noncompliance. To be presented in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, we strongly recommended all agency owners attend, and we encourage you to bring additional staff.

Seminar cost is  $90 for members, and it has been filed for 4 hrs. P&C credit. It will be facilitated by IIABSC President, Frank Sheppard; and IIABSC Vice President, Becky McCormack.

Topics include:

  • Producer/Broker Licensing,
  • company appointments,
  • fees & commissions,
  • rate & form approvals/changes,
  • Unfair Claims/Trade Practices,
  • cancellation/non-renewal,
  • use of credit information,
  • electronic signatures,
  • work comp statutes,
  • surplus lines issues and much more.
