NEW COURSE: E&O Roadmap to Cyber & Privacy Insurance
Classroom loss-control seminar coming to Greenville, Columbia, Charleston in April for 6 hrs. P C credit

One of these most significant coverage gaps that has emerged of late involves cyber exposures. This course is designed to help insurance agents and brokers prevent E&O claims that result when a client discovers that his or her cyber exposures were not adequately addressed by insurance or other risk management measures. It qualifies agents for 10 % loss control credit on their E&O policies. Coming to Greenville on April 21, Columbia on April 22 and Charleston April 23 for 6 hrs. P&C credit.  (+ More...)

IN MEMORIAM: Felix A. McLellan, Jr.
Felix Alexander McLellan, Jr., 64, died Jan., 20, 2020. Born in Columbia, SC, and a graduate of the University of SC, he was President of member agency Dillon Insurance Agency, Inc., in Dillon, SC. Felix was incredibly active in his community, his church and the insurance industry. Surviving are his wife, Dianne, his daughter Elizabeth and siblings David McLellan of Lexington, SC, Tim McLellan of Columbia, Billy McLellan of Columbia, Debbi Fetner of Columbia, Gail McLellan of Columbia, and Dottie of Weddington, NC. Memorials may be made to the Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dillon SC., the Church of the Infant Jesus in Marion SC., St Jude's Research Hospital, IIABSC Foundation or the charity of one's choice.

According to the Direct Selling Association's latest Growth and Outlook Survey, the direct selling channel generated $35.4 billion in retail sales in 2018 — up 1.3 percent from 2017. February is Insurance Careers Month



RECENT & IMPORTANT CE CHANGES

  1. You must complete all CE requirements before you can renew your producer license. You can no longer wait for the final days of your birth month to complete CE requirements.

  2. CE filing in South Carolina is now done using your National Producer Number. Do not submit your old SC License Number! 

  3. Prometric is no longer the South Carolina CE Administrator. You must now must use the DOI's State Based Systems website  (and your NPN) to access CE status.

  4. You are no longer required to pay a CE Admin Fee with your license renewal. Although you may see a slight increase in course fees everywhere.
