E&O Loss Control Seminars

Several classroom and virtual options throughout the year in 2021

We are offering three opportunities to qualify for 10% Loss Control credit in 2021.  One course will be available virtually in January, another in July and a third course will be held in-person in Columbia Nov. 4. 


VIRTUAL EVENT:

E&O Roadmap to Policy Analysis

This course is designed to guide agents step by step through the process of reading policy language, applying a basic coverage analysis to look for possible gaps in coverage, and understanding advanced coverage issues. Insurance policies are complex documents and agents need to be familiar with how to understand and interpret them in order to provide clients with important coverage information.  In addition, the course will address E&O loss control issues and help the agency look at ways to obtain and retain business.

This course qualifies agents for their 10% Loss Control credit on their E&O policies.   
6 hrs. P&C credit.  $165 members/ $185 nonmembers.

E&O Commercial Liability Coverage Gaps and How to Fill Them

Errors and omissions by an insurance producer can be extremely costly and damaging to the producer’s professional reputation. This course is designed to help insurance agents and brokers prevent many types of errors and omissions involving commercial liability insurance. Completion of this course will assist agents in recognizing and preventing many of the problems associated with selling and servicing Commercial General Liability insurance, Commercial Auto insurance, Workers Compensation, Employers Liability insurance, and Commercial Excess and Umbrella policies.

CLASSROOM COURSE

E&O RISK MANAGEMENT: MEETING THE CHALLENGE OF CHANGE

Our seminar looks at E&O risk management from the agency perspective. It addresses the fundamentals of reducing the E&O exposures of todays ever-changing agency operations, including: 

  • Understanding duties owed to both carriers and customers,
  • Reviewing the most frequent E&O claims using real-life examples,
  • Agency defenses such as documentation, disclaimers and consistent procedures,
  • Exploring exposures within the agencys daily operations.

November 4,  Columbia

This course qualifies agents for their 10% Loss Control credit on their E&O policies.   
3 hrs. P&C credit, 3 hrs. Ethics credit.  $165 members/ $185 nonmembers.
