IIABSC held its annual Education Awards Recognition Luncheon on Aug. 26 in Columbia to honor this year's AIAM, CISR, CIC and CRM conferees as well as this SC's Outstanding CSR of the Year.
Meredith B. Thomason, CISR, of Citizens Insurance Agency in Anderson, SC, is this year's SC Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year. It is the highest honor in our state for insurance customer service reps who have distinguished themselves through contributions to their industry and profession.
After being nominated, Thomason was required to write an essay on whether new business or renewal business are most important to the long-term value and profitability of an agency as well as four ways agents can have a meaningful impact on that business. You can read her essay in the upcoming Fall 2014 edition of SC Agent & Broker magazine.
SC Insurance Director Ray Farmer also made an appearance to support several of the SC Dept. of Insurance staff who received their CISR designations.
