Young Agents Conference preview, keynote

"Knuckle Sandwich"

You have enemies.  No, I haven’t been reading your Facebook messages.  I’m talking about the enemies that are preventing you from becoming the you, you are meant to be.  In Knuckle Sandwich, we will identify, expose, and eliminate the Top 10 enemies that are keeping you from a life of success and more importantly, significance.  Are you up for the challenge?  Here is what we will be fighting.

  • Complacency. Once we are out of survival mode, we can get lulled into a coasting mentality.

  • Confusion. It keeps us in the dark, because we can’t hit what we can’t see. Many people are walking around in blindfolds swinging at a piñata they can’t see… only it’s not as cute when you’re 40.

  • Distractions. The multitasking generation is accomplishing less… but in record time!

  • Excuses. Woulda, coulda and shoulda. What could people really become if they threw away their excuses list?

  • Fear. The best time to kill a monster is when he’s little! Fear, like weeds, just keep growing.

  • Frustration. Think Clark Griswold trying to put up Christmas lights. People spend their time trying to do things they have zero ability to do.

  • IgnoranceWhat you don’t know will hurt you.

  • Peer Pressure. The Jones’ are the most influential family on earth!

  • Pride. Don't be the guy who lights up a room by walking out of it.

  • Procrastination. Unless your name is Annie, you won’t get anywhere in life singing about tomorrow.

Now that we have identified the enemies, what do we do about it? Unlike Floyd Mayweather, we won’t get any style points by dancing around the ring, trying NOT to get hit.  We have to take the fight to the enemies.   Hoping they will go away won’t work.  Like a bad rash, they keep showing up and at the most inopportune times.

During our session, I will discuss a game plan we can each put into practice to eliminate the enemies. There's no negotiating with these guys; they have to be eliminated.
