IIABSC Foundation has awarded the annual recipients of its newest scholarship program. Thanks to our members' contributions, they had the funds to award eight $2,000 scholarships in Fall 2025.
Each year the Foundation awards five or more college scholarships to the children of member agency employees whose children are either entering college or already undergrads. To be eligible, applicants must be a South Carolina resident and enrolled as a full-time student in the fall. They are looking for students that are active in his or her school and community, demonstrate a solid work ethic and possess strong leadership abilities, teamwork and a desire to succeed. Call for applications are generally in September or October each year with a January 15 deadline.
The following are this year's winners:

Tricia Blackwood, currently attending Limestone University with a major in English Education. She is the daughter of Tammie Blackwood with Correll Insurance Group.

Riley Bouknight, a high school senior at Batesburg Leesville High School. She plans to major in Elementary Education, but has not yet decided on which school. She is the daughter of Tyler Bouknight with Batesburg Insurance Agency in Batesburg-Leesville.

Noah Carter, a high school senior at Boiling Springs High School in Chesnee with plans to major in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. He is the son of Christopher Carter with Integrated Insurance Advisors in Chesnee.

Ansleigh Sutton Epps, a junior at USC Aiken at Sumter majoring in Nursing. She is the daughter of Keisha Epps with Sumter Insurance Group.

Savannah Mellon, currently a junior at Converse College with a double major Biology and Psychology. She is the daughter of Steve Mellon with Mellon Insurance Solutions in York.

Thomas Purdy, a sophomore at The Citadel majoring in Construction Engineering. He is the son of Amy Purdy with the Kinghorn Insurance Agency of Beaufort.

Katherine Taylor, a freshmen at Clemson University Honors College majoring in International Business. She is the daughter of Jay Taylor with the Kinghorn Insurance Agency of Beaufort.

Langdon Taylor, currently a high school senior attending Beaufort Academy with plans to attend Clemson University and major in Business. He is the son of Jay Taylor with the Kinghorn Insurance Agency of Beaufort.
