IIABSC Vice President Megan Huebner has been named among the Best Insurance Professionals Under 40 in the USA by Insurance Business America. Congratulations also to IIABSC agency member Cole Gore of HUB International for also being named. Their Rising Stars were announced earlier this summer during the Insurance Business FutureFest event.
The annual initiative, now in its 11th year, seeks to highlight individuals positioned to take on future leadership roles in the insurance sector. Candidates were evaluated on their key accomplishments, and contributions to the industry’s development.
In an industry often perceived as traditional, America’s top young insurance professionals are defying expectations. From revamping legacy systems to redefining mentorship, they are breathing new life into their organizations.
The importance of young professionals is particularly important as, according to Yupro Placement, the insurance workforce is markedly older than the general US workforce, with a median age of 45, and 25 percent of employees over 55 years old.
Winners strengths include:

- Change leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion
- Purpose-driven leadership
Nominees had to be aged 40 or under (as of July 1, 2025) and be committed to a career in insurance with a clear passion for the industry. Submissions were collected beginning in January. Nominees were asked about their current role, key achievements, and career goals, as well as their contributions to shaping the industry. Recommendations from managers and senior industry professionals were also taken into account. Final selections were made by an independent panel of judges drawn from various areas of the insurance community.
