IIABSC contributes to tornado disaster relief efforts across the state

Contributions so far in Nixville, Seneca, Walterboro

IIABSC has contributed to three separate tornado disaster relief efforts across the state this month. So far $1,000 each has been given inNixville,  Seneca and Walterboro.


NixvillE Baptist Church  (Hampton County)

The Nixville Baptist Church in Nixville organized teams to cut up and remove downed trees, gather and washing  laundry, and furnishing food and water. They also distributed gift cards to families hardest hit.

Beaver Dam Baptist Association (Oconee County)

There are local Baptist Association chapters in every county. The Beaver Dam Baptist Association in Seneca organized seven teams running chain saws and clearing yards. They operated two “laundry teams” and five trucks going out into the community furnishing water and Gatorade as needed. They also distributed $50 and $100 gift cards as needed from Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Walgreens, Ingles, etc., totaling around $10,000 to families with nothing left.

Walterboro Rotary Club (Colleton County)

The Walterboro Rotary Club started a disaster relief fund to assist those whose homes and businesses were most adversely affected by the tornadoes in that portion of Colleton County. The Walterboro Rotary Club extends its sincere gratitude to IIABSC for its kind and generous donation.
