IA Guide to third-party service providers
Info to help members comply with SC Insurance Data Security Act

SC licensees will be held accountable for the actions of their third-party vendors, so it is important to ensure they implement appropriate administrative, technical and physical measures to protect and secure the system and nonpublic information (NPI) accessible to them. Third-party service providers have been responsible for most of the cyber event notifications the South Carolina Department of Insurance has received to date. IIABSC has put together information to help our members comply, as well as a short TPSP questionnaire that can be sent to the agency’s TPSP’s to provide information on their cyber-security measures.   (+ More...)

It is with deep regret that we determined a quality in-person Young Agents Conference would not be possible this year due to social distancing mandates so we moved it to a virtual program. E&O Roadmap to Cyber & Privacy Insurance changed to virtual program
Six-hour course split into two morning sessions, July 29 & 30

One of these most significant coverage gaps to have emerged of late involves cyber exposures. This course is designed to help insurance agents and brokers prevent E&O claims resulting when a client discovers that their cyber exposures were not adequately addressed. It qualifies agents for 10% loss control credit on their E&O policies. Now a virtual program split across two days, totalling 6 hrs. P&C credit.   (+ More...)

Full page print ad in USA today special edition, TV ads on CNBC, streaming platforms

The Trusted Choice & national Big I communications teams have been busy producing positive messaging around the industry response to the pandemic as well as a series of TV spots called "30 seconds to Know Insurance" to inform consumers on common personal and commercial lines needs.
