Awards presented at IIABSC Annual Convention held Nov 5-7, at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC
Several important industry awards were presented during the awards banquet at the 125th Annual Convention held Nov. 5-7 at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Deborah Allen of Greenville, SC, was named the Hayne P. Glover, Jr. Agent of the Year. Hilary Johnson Haines, AIAM, of Murrells Inlet, SC, was named the IIABSC Young Agent of the Year. Laura Cornell of Safeco Insurance was named was named the IIABSC Industry Person of the Year. Stacy Spurling of Sumter, SC, was recognized as the SC Outstanding CSR of the Year. SC InsurPac Committee leader Ben Myers was recognized for his service to IIABSC with a Citation from Chair Tonya Thomason. Find details on our event homepage. IN MEMORIAM: Carolyn Reeves Perry
Carolyn Reeves Perry, 81, passed away in Pawleys Island, SC, on Oct. 23, 2023. She was a partner in Puckett, Scheetz & Hogan agency in Greenville, SC, before it sold to McGriff Insurance. She retired several years ago, and formerly served on several IIABSC committees including the original Coastal Property Task force. The number of people who called her their second mother, sister, best friend, and their biggest role model are too numerous to count, and she was an incredible mentor and leader to the industry. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to The Smith Medical Clinic, 99 Baskervill Dr., Pawleys Island, SC 29585. IIABSC Foundation Scholarship 2024 application now available
Contribute to IIABSC Foundation, scholarship application deadline Jan. 17
IIABSC Foundation's scholarship program exclusively for students whose parents work for IIABSC member agencies is now accepting applications for 2024 awards. Scholarships will be $2,000 each for one year. Up to seven scholarships will be awarded, and recipients are eligible to reapply in future years. Application and full eligibility guidelines are available on our IIABSC Foundation webpage. Please also consider a tax-deductible donation to our Foundation to support the charitable, educational, public safety and scientific endeavors supporting the industry in our state. (+ More...)
