NEW MEMBER BENEFIT REMINDER: Complementary ACORD license
View our FAQ/information page to learn more about this important annual benefit

On January 1, 2020, ACORD began charging all users of ACORD forms a licensing fee. The majority of Big I memberships now include complementary ACORD form end user licensing (those with a group gross revenue of under $50 million using an agency management system). Medical Malpractice Assessment on Surplus Lines Insurance
JUA transitions to SC Medical Malpractice Association

SC Medical Malpractice Association has announced a new 6 percent assessment (in addition to state and local taxes) affecting surplus lines transactions for medical malpractice and healthcare liability insurance policies. Coming to Charleston, Columbia & Greenville in 2020

South Carolina leads record-breaking year for InsurPAC

Use only supported browsers when registering for education/events

Online registration to all 2020 IIABSC classroom courses (including all CIC Institutes) is now available. Please note that we are using a new registration platform, so please pay special attention to registration instructions and only use supported browsers. DOB and NPN are both required information for most courses. Supported browsers are Chrome, MS Edge, FireFox and Safari. Most registration errors can be attributed to using an unsupported browser. Renew Agency License today
Agency license renewals must be processed through NIPR, must be completed by Jan 31

Agency license renewals are open for processing. All licensed agencies must renew online and pay a licensing renewal fee of $40 through NIPR website. Agencies that have not renewed by Jan. 31, 2020 will have their agency license cancelled with a reinstatement fee of $250 in addition to the standard $40 licensing fee. Please remember that renewal reminders from the Department are no longer sent by mail, so it is very important to be sure the Department has a valid email address on file for your agency and all licensed producers.  (+ More...)

Agencies paying by monthly draft renew automatically

IIABSC member renewals for agencies, Palmetto Partners and corporate associates for 2020 were mailed in November. Payment is now due, and those still unpaid on Jan. 30 will be cancelled.
