South Carolina has been named the Triple Crown Winner for InsurPac fundraising - the most of any other state as well as the most from young agents and past presidents. Recent125th Annual Convention attendees contributed about $55,770 leading up to and during the event. It is the most raised during a single event. SCDOI releases Commercial Liability Insurance Data Call results
The S.C. Department of Insurance (DOI) released the results of the commercial liability insurance data call – including liquor liability – last week. The report confirms the poor results that have been reported the past few years for liquor liability insurance.   (+ More...)

Special thanks to all who contributed in 2023
Thank you to all who contributed to InsurPac in 2023! South Carolina are "TRIPLE CROWN" Champions once again by raising the most contributions of any other state ($126,865) plus the most from Young Agents ($37,654) and Past Presidents ($34,650). TIME TO RENEW: Agency license renewal process now open on NIPR website
Deadline to renew is Jan. 30
South Carolina agency license renewals are now open on the NIPR website. Agencies will have until Jan. 30, 2022 to renew. Renewal fees are $40, and the process must be done online.   (+ More...)

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR: Time to renew your ACORD license
IIABSC members receive complimentary ACORD forms EUL, renews annually
Most Big I memberships include complimentary ACORD form end-user licensing (those with a group gross revenue of under $50 million using an agency management system). The ACORD licensing renewal and Big I membership verification need to be renewed on an annual basis, after Jan. 1 of each year. Trusted Choice Marketing Reimbursement Program 2024 new guidelines & eligibility
Offset the cost of marketing
Agency member benefits of Trusted Choice include supplementing your agency's branding efforts. The MRP offers assistance to members leveraging the Trusted Choice brand in adding the logo to traditional or digital marketing materials as well as using the TechCompare Vendors platform introduced last year. Reimbursements will be made at 50 percent of cost with a maximum reimbursement amount of $1,000 per agency location. Funds are available to all members, even if your agency has used the program in the past. Guidelines and eligibility for 2024 are very similar to last year with a few new incentives and eligibility restrictions on the TechCompare vendors. Let IIABSC license and train your new CSRs
Register by Jan. 26
InsurAcademy is a comprehensive training program to make your new hires “job ready” for a Customer Service Representative position. The training is provided in a live virtual format and includes both pre-licensing preparation and skills training. In just six short weeks, your new hire can be licensed and ready to be a productive member of your staff. Training is provided in a half-day format to make it more manageable for the students and provide them with the opportunity to apply what they learn each day in class. At the completion of InsurAcademy, the student also receives a 12 month professional development plan. InsurAcademy will be offered quarterly beginning in 2024, however class size is limited in order to provide personalized instruction. IIABSC 2024 dues renewal info
How to retrieve your dues invoice from our Member InfoHub
IIABSC member renewals for both agencies and corporate associates have been sent by email to the membership billing contact on record. Dues invoices can also be retrieved by anyone with the proper permissions using our Member InfoHub. Payment is now due, and cancellations process for nonpayment begins Jan. 30. Agencies may pay by mailing a check, and they also have the option to pay online by credit card or bank draft, set up an automatic payment profile or switch to equal monthly payments. No action is required by members who are already on monthly draft as their membership renews automatically. Corporate associate members have the option to mail a check or pay online by credit card or bank draft. If they are interested in exhibiting or sponsoring events in 2024, they should also consider joining the Palmetto Partners program, which is also now accepting new members and renewals. Please contact Member Services Director if you are having trouble accessing your organization's dues invoice or updates are needed. Contribute to IIABSC Foundation, scholarship application deadline Jan. 17
IIABSC Foundation's scholarship program exclusively for students whose parents work for IIABSC member agencies is now accepting applications for 2024 awards. Scholarships will be $2,000 each for one year. Up to seven scholarships will be awarded, and recipients are eligible to reapply in future years. Application and full eligibility guidelines are available on our IIABSC Foundation webpage. Build a strong foundation in commercial lines insurance coverages
The popular IIABSC Commercial Agent Training School (CAT) returns to the classroom in Columbia AND virtually this February. This course was developed to provide comprehensive training for agents in all the major areas of commercial lines. It is perfect for new employees or those who just want a refresher course in commercial lines coverages. The CAT series helps agents build a strong foundation in commercial lines insurance coverages. Participants attend one class a week for three weeks. At the completion of all three days, participants receive a Series Certificate of Completion. IIABSC is accepting member applications for a CIC Scholarship that covers the registration fee of one SC classroom or LIVE webinar institute held in 2024.
